Scattered flurries forecast for Christmas Eve

Highs in the lower 40s are forecast for Tuesday, and scattered flurries are expected in the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are to reach a high of 42 degrees with increasing clouds, and a low of 23 degrees.

Scattered sprinkles and flurries are expected between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and scattered flurries are also expected after 4 p.m. Wind gusts could reach as high as 29 mph.

According to Norad, Santa has begun his trek around the world and was headed for Kurilsk, Kuril Islands at 7:03 a.m.
