Cab driver shot and killed in South Baltimore

A cab driver was shot and killed in South Baltimore Saturday afternoon as he picked up a customer, Baltimore police said.

Officers responding to the Westport neighborhood at 2:07 p.m. found a man shot in the head in the 2400 block of Maisel Court. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 4:30 p.m.

A second man was found at 2:21 p.m. in the 2400 block of Dorton Court with a gunshot wound to his right hip.

Paramedics transported him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was listed in good condition Sunday, police said.

The man who was shot in the head was identified as a cab driver and the man shot in the hip was his customer, police said.

Police have no suspects.
