Three men were shot in their legs in East Baltimore on Saturday afternoon in incident police said may have happened inside a Berea barbershop.

A fourth man was injured in the incident in the 1400 block of N. Luzerne Avenue, but it was not immediately clear whether the wound was from a gunshot, police said. None are the injuries are life threatening.

Police said the multiple shooting happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. and it appears to have begun inside a barbershop, which on Saturday afternoon had a closed sign in its window.

Detectives were canvassing nearby blocks and urged members of the public to come forward if they had any information about the shooting. Police gathered spent bullet casings from the street, but a police spokesman said it was not immediately clear how many shots were fired, whether there was more than one shooter, or whether the victims knew each other.

Later Saturday night, police said on their Twitter account that Southeast District detectives were investigating a report of a man was shot in the chest in the 200 block of Aisquith Street.
