Man shot in attempted robbery in Southwest Baltimore

A man was shot and wounded in an apparent attempted robbery in Southwest Baltimore Thursday night, police said.

The 45-year-old victim took himself to a hospital at about 8:10 p.m. and told police he was in the 100 block of S. Culver St. in the Saint Joseph's neighborhood when an unknown assailant attempted to rob him and shot him in the chest and arm. The suspect was not able to take any money from the man and ran away, police said.
