Two laptops stolen from Ellicott City home [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Howard County Times includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Ellicott City

Town and Country Boulevard, 9000 block, between Dec. 8 and Dec. 9. Entry gained to ground floor apartment, possibly via rear sliding door, while resident was asleep. Two laptop computers stolen.

Abbey Road, 7200 block, 7:40 p.m. Dec. 4. Unknown person stole crossbow from garage.

Landing Road, 5400 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Dec. 3. Rear door pried open to residence. Once inside, electronics and jewelry stolen. Front door left open.

Savage/North Laurel

Hitching Post Lane, 9100 block, between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Front door deadbolt discovered unlocked. Doorknob locked. Television and television stand stolen. No signs of forced entry.

Washington Boulevard, 8500 block, 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Attempt to gain entry to room by turning door handle and force failed. Occupant scared potential intruders off and called police.


Auto Drive, 12400 block, 12:05 p.m. Dec. 1. 2010 Silver Chevy Corvette 10 Chevy Corvette ZR1 stolen.

West County

Old Frederick Road, 14800 block, between Dec. 2 and Dec. 6. Entry gained by prying open rear first floor sliding door. Three televisions, computer and jewelry stolen. Neighbor saw two men outside garage.
