Drunk man arrested for burglary in Columbia [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Columbia Flier includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Stevens Forest Road, 5600 block, 11:09 p.m. Dec. 8. Man reported to enter occupied apartment. Man fled before officers arrived. Officers located man matching description sleeping under stairs in apartment complex. Confirmed man detained was same man who entered apartment. Man extremely intoxicated. Henry Abzun-Hernandez, 23, of Columbia, charged with burglary and trespassing.

East Columbia

Tamar Drive, 8300 block, between 9 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8. Entry gained to apartment by prying open rear door. Evidence of ransacking. Electronics, jewelry and alcohol taken.

Majors Lane, 6000 block, 3:15 a.m. Dec. 7. Late reported. Two victims met acquaintance. Acquaintance and unknown person entered victims' car. One took out handgun and demanded "everything." GPS unit, cellphones, cash and keys to vehicle stolen. Investigation ongoing.

Braddock Way, 8400 block, between 6 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Dec. 3. Entry gained to home by prying open rear kitchen window. Prescription pills and iPhone stolen.

West Columbia

Faulkner Ridge Circle, 10400 block, 11:37 p.m. Dec. 7. Victim approached inside fenced yard. Person grabbed purse. Woman refused to let go and person fled.

Little Patuxent Parkway, 10300 block, 2:58 p.m. Dec. 4. Victim reported man at Columbia mall exposed himself to her in store.
