As of 9:30 a.m., the state Department of Transportation was reporting that the two major incidents of the Baltimore region's Wednesday rush hour had been cleared.

In Dundalk, North Point Boulevard (MD 151) was reportedly reopened at Old Battle Grove Road after an accident investigation regarding a pedestrian death. Police say a person, who has not been identified, was struck by a car at about 6:30 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene. The road had been closed as police investigated, but DOT was showing lanes as reopened.

Also, a two-vehicle collision on MD 97 at Union Station Road in Howard County had been cleared as well.

DOT was reporting congestion on I-895 south at the Harbor Tunnel and a few other incidents off to shoulders, but no major delays.

The National Weather Service on Wednesday warned motorists to be cautious "for black ice when traveling on secondary roads, bridges, overpasses and other untreated surfaces."
