Four McDonogh soccer standouts earn 2013 NSCAA All-America honors

The two McDonogh soccer teams dominated the fall season -- the boys winning the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Associaition A Conference title and the girls claiming the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference crown.

Both teams finished ranked No. 1 in The Baltimore Sun's Top 15 polls and the individual awards are following.

On Monday, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the 2013 NSCAA High School All-America Teams and McDonogh was impressively represented.

For the boys, senior midfielder George Campbell (23 goals, 15 assists) and junior midfielder Connor Smith (16 goals, 14 assists) were both named to the All-America team. For the girls, senior forward Anna Balczak (20 goals, 13 assists) and sophomore forward Bridgette Andrzejewski (29 goals, 10 assists) were honored. 

The NSCAA selected 61 boys and 48 girls and Bialczak was one of 11 players who were repeat recipients.
