A man pulled out a knife as he returned from the bathroom on a Greyhound bus late Thursday and stabbed a woman, yelling that he had AIDS as he exited the Washington-bound vehicle, police said.
The trip had departed from Atlantic City, N.J. and was passing through Baltimore around 9:30 p.m. The woman was seated at the back of the bus with a male friend when another passenger stabbed her in the neck, stomach and hand, according to a Baltimore City Police report.
The woman's friend then began to punch the assailant, who soon fled.
Alexandra Pedrini, a spokeswoman for Greyhound, said the driver of the bus had pulled over to a safe location and tried to help ward off the attacker.
