Police are investigating two separate shootings Tuesday after victims arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds, according to a department release.

A man with a gunshot wound to his arm told investigators at an unnamed hospital he was shot in the 1800 block of W. Baltimore St., in Franklin Square. He said he got a ride to the hospital, where he arrived around 5:30 p.m.

About six hours earlier, a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg walked into a hospital, police said. Detectives have not yet determined where the shooting happened.

Both incidents are under investigation.
