The Westfield Annapolis mall hosts its annual "Chanukah Wonderland" on Wednesday night.

At 5 p.m., a giant menorah will be lit at the mall by H&M near the Green Garage.

Participants can help build a giant Lego menorah, decorate Hanukkah keepsakes, take pictures with Judah the Maccabee, eat hot latkes and doughnuts and enjoy entertainment from Michael Rosman, known as the "Squire of the Wire" at the Maryland Renaissance Festival.

The event is free and open to the public. Those who RSVP will receive a prize.

“During these trying times the message of Chanukah provides hope and encouragement” said Rabbi Nochum Light of Chabad of Anne Arundel County. “In ancient times our ancestors rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem with the Menorah. Today, we rededicate ourselves to making this world a better and brighter place."

In its outreach campaign, Chabad of Anne Arundel County and its affiliate Friends of Lubavitch of Maryland, joins thousands of Chabad centers across the globe that are staging similar public displays of the Menorah and its symbolic lights.
