Annapolis police seek suspect in string of burglaries

Five similar incidents Saturday reported to city, county police

Annapolis police say they responded to four burglaries on Saturday between 10:17 p.m. and 10:48 p.m. at businesses in Annapolis.

The burglaries occurred at the Subway at 1 Park Place, McCormick Paints at 3 Old Solomons Island Road, Insane Car Audio at 1991 West Street and Dunkin' Donuts at 2004 West Street were broken into.

An additional burglary as a gas station in the 2000 block of West Street was also reported to Anne Arundel County Police.

Annapolis police said the burglaries all occurred within minutes of each other, and in each case money and property was stolen.

Police said a possible suspect is described as male, wearing a green or blue plaid hooded jacket, yellow and blue work gloves, light colored pants, and tan work boots. An early 2000s style green or blue minivan with silver trim was seen in the area of the burglaries.

Police also said that on Nov. 22 at 4:23 a.m., a similar burglary occurred at Jerry's Subs and Pizza at 914 Bay Ridge Road. The glass door to the business was broken and the drawers to the cash registers were taken.
