A Baltimore County school bus driver will not be charged after a bus rolled over while taking 10 students to Pikesville Middle last month, police said.

Baltimore County police completed their investigation this week in the Oct. 4 crash and determined the driver was at fault when she checked the rearview mirror and lost control of the bus. Police did not identify the driver and did not issue any citations.

Police said the bus was traveling 43 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone in the 10800 block of Greenspring Ave. The driver told police she was checking the rearview mirror when the bus drifted to the right, causing the rear wheel drop off the road. When she tried to straighten the bus path, she lost control, causing the bus move to the opposite lane, and roll over onto its side.

The driver and five students were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries.
