Thanksgiving services

•The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will hold a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. Finger food and coffee will be served after the service of Holy Communion,. Please bring something to share. Donations will also be accepted for the food bank. Information: 410 766-8778.

•Carter's United Methodist Church and Friendship United Methodist Church will hold their annual joint Thanksgiving worship service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, at 6715 Old Solomons Island Road in Friendship. Information: 301-855-2500.

Holiday cabaret

The Voices in Praise Youth Choir of Friendship United Methodist Church presents a musical cabaret at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at St. James Episcopal Church, 5757 Solomons Island Road in Lothian. The event will feature music and light refreshments. A free-will offering will be taken. Information: 410-257-7133.


St. James Episcopal Church's 27th annual Thanksgiving Sunday Messiah Sing-along will be held at 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at 5757 Solomons Island Road. A candlelight reception hosted by the Women of St. James will follow the service. The come-as-you-are singers who perform without rehearsing will be directed by Michael S.
