A water man break in Baltimore City has shut down eastbound North Avenue at Chester Street for more than an hour after the city Department of Transportation first reported the incident around 7:24 a.m. on Thursday.

Baltimore City Department of Public works Kurt Kocher said at 9:07 a.m. that crews are repairing a small leak on a 36-inch main break on North Avenue.

All eastbound traffic is being detoured onto southbound Chester Street, Baltimore DOT said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:12 a.m. that trains and buses were running on schedule.
