After a week of stellar performances from Teams Blake, Adam, CeeLo and Christina, it was the moment  everyone has waited for and the moment coaches dread. America voted and chose two members from each team that would advance to the Top 12. However, it was up to the coaches to pick the third spot on their team, while sending the remaining two contestants home.

Team Blake: “Free Ride”

For the first time this season, Team Blake got together for a group performance. Cole Vosbury, Shelbie Z., Austin Jenckes, Nic Hawk and Ray Boudreaux performed the classic-rock hit “Free Ride.” After the exciting performance from the CMA winners’ team, it was time to see which singers would advance to the next round. America chose to save Austin and Cole, guaranteeing two rock-vocalists a spot on the team, and leaving the fate of Shelbie, Nic and Ray in the hands of their coach. After a tough decision, Blake decided to go with his gut and chose blues-man Ray Boudreaux.

Sigh. I am super let-down that Shelbie Z had to leave the competition.

Team CeeLo: “Give A Little Bit”

CeeLo’s team of four women and Jonny Gray came together to perform a classic ballad. Jonny Gray led on guitar, while Kat Robichaud, Tamara Chauniece, Amber Nicole and Caroline Pennell all followed on vocals with a performance of “Give A Little Bit.” After the performance, Caroline Pennell and Jonny Gray secured their spots in the Top 12, leaving Kat, Amber and Tamara up for elimination. CeeLo chose rocker Kat Robichaud to shuffle her way back into the competition.

Anther upset. Amber deserved a spot!

Team Christina: “Love Somebody”

In the best team performance of the night, Team Christina delivered Maroon 5’s “Love Somebody,” complete with choreography and big voices. Matthew Schuler, Jacquie Lee, Josh Wilden, Olivia Henken and Stephanie Anne Johnson each had amazing performances throughout the week, and would learn their fate for the rest of the competition. America saved Jacquie and Matthew. After a hard and almost tear-jerking decision, Coach Christina chose Josh Wilden for the final spot on her team.

Team Adam: “Safe and Sound”

Who would be safe on Team Adam? James Wolpert, Preston Pohl, Grey, Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin all performed the pop hit “Safe and Sound,” proving that no matter which combination of contestants you choose, Team Adam is the strongest team in the competition. America saved James and Tessanne (James used his pocket square to save Tessanne’s makeup after her victory tears). That left Preston, Will and Grey up for elimination. During the final seconds of the show, Adam chose Will to complete his team.

There it is America: The Top 12 contestants for this season of "The Voice." From here on, the contestants will work as a team, but perform solo in hopes of gaining the votes needed each week to keep them in the competition. Will Coach Blake come out victorious again, with a team without country musicians? Can CeeLo find a win with his team of unconventional musicians? Will Christina’s blended team of young and experienced musicians come out on top? Or will Adam and his team of favorites win it all? Your votes count.
