McDonogh senior midfielder Casey Martinez, who helped lead the No. 1 Eagles to the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship last Saturday, has been selected to play in the first High School All-American Game set for Dec. 7 in Cary, N.C.

Martinez will play on the East team, which will take on the West with game time set for 2 p.m. A location has yet to be determined.

Players were chosen based on the career high school achievements. The game takes place the same weekend and in the same proximity as the NCAA Division I Women's College Cup.

Martinez, a four-year starter who is set to play at Duke, scored the game-winning goal in the Eagles' 2-1 win over Archbishop Spalding in Saturday's title game.
