A Baltimore County jury on Wednesday found a Hawthorne woman guilty of having her boyfriend fatally shoot the father of her child.
Authorities said Laquesha Lewis, 25, contacted her then boyfriend Michael Martin Feb. 18, telling him where he could find Robert Michael Holiday, 27, who was the father of her child. Holiday was killed a short time later.
Police said Lewis and Holiday previously got into a fight at her Shagbark Road home after he came to visit their child. After he left, police said Lewis sent Holiday a text — telling him he would soon die — and one to Martin, telling him where to find Holiday.
Martin and another man, Mikal Martin, later fired shots at a bus stop near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Old Eastern Avenue, prosecutors said. Holiday was shot twice in the back. Shyteirra S. Deas and Lavar M. Young were also injured.
Police later executed a search and seizure warrant and recovered ballistic evidence linking the two men to the crime scene.
They are charged with the murder and have not entered pleas, according to online court records. Their trial is scheduled for Jan. 21. Lewis' sentencing has not yet scheduled.
