Baltimore basketball fans will have plenty of local Division I college players to track when the season tips off next week.
There are 89 players from this area — natives of Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Harford County and Howard County, and/or graduates of high schools in those areas — listed on Division I men's basketball rosters.
Loyola, UMBC and High Point have five local players apiece, while Maryland and Morgan State have four each. Central Connecticut State and Pittsburgh have three apiece.
Lake Clifton has the most former players on DI rosters with eight, followed by Mount St. Joseph (seven), St. Frances (seven), City (five), John Carroll (five), Dunbar (four), Milford Mill (four) and Pallotti (four).
