A man was shot in his back in West Baltimore and died from his injuries in hospital Friday night, city police said.

Around 8 p.m. officers found the victim, identified as Lance-Trenton Maurice Allen, 21, in the first block of N. Bentalou Street near the intersection with the 2200 block of W. Baltimore Street at the edge of the city's Penrose Fayette Street Outreach neighborhood, police said.

Allen, who was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead about an hour later, has his last known address a block away from where he was shot, police said.

Police also identified another other recent homicide victim Saturday. Keith X. Holly Jr., 24, was killed on Thursday in the 1400 block of N. Longwood Street. He had been acquitted of murder in December.
