Starting weak-side linebacker Josh Bynes said he’s recovering well from surgery to clean out his infected finger, and expects to return following the bye and be ready for the Ravens’ game against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 3.
Bynes was sidelined for the Ravens' 19-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Heinz Field.
“I'll be back for the Cleveland game, I’m just letting it heal up as fast as possible,” Bynes said. “I’ll be all right. If I’m not practicing next week, I’ll definitely play in the game.”
Bynes reiterated that he doesn’t have a staph infection.
“Everybody keeps asking me that, but it’s no staph, it's a normal infection,” said Bynes, who has 31 tackles and two pass deflections in six starts. “It’s just something that just happened from an open cut, that's all it was.
