A few retailers have already opened for business or will have before next Tuesday's official opening for the Shops at Canton Crossing, the new 325,000-square-foot retail center on Boston Street.

Red Robin opened on Monday. This is the 15th Maryland location for the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based hamburger franchise.

Next up is Mission BBQ, the Glen Burnie-based patriotic-themed restaurant, where the National Anthem is played every day at noon. The Mission BBQ in Canton is already in preview mode, hosting invitation-only charity nights for police and fire departments.

On Friday, the restaurant will host a public preview, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., which will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. Mission BBQ's official opening, complete with the singing of the National Anthem, is on Monday at noon.

Founded by Bill Kraus, a former Under Armour executive, and Steve Newton, a former regional vice president with Outback Steakhouse, the first Mission BBQ opened in Glen Burnie in 2011. Additional Maryland locations have since opened in Perry Hall and the St. Mary's County town of California.

The new Mission BBQ is at 3701 Boston St.  at the Shops at Canton Crossing. For information call  443-955-6807 or go to mission-bbq.com.

Also opening at Canton Crossing: An outlet of Yogi Castle is scheduled to open on Oct. 8, and a second location for the Greektown favorite Samos will open soon thereafter.
