Fall festivals

•St. James' Parish will hold its annual Fall Festival, Country Ham and Oyster Dinner from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at 5757 Solomons Island Road in Lothian. The menu features fried oysters, country and honey-baked ham, potatoes au gratin, green beans, homemade coleslaw, rolls and biscuits, beverages and homemade pies. There will also be bake and garden shops, homemade ice cream, crafts, antique cars, children's activities and guided tours of the parish. Admission is free. Dinner is $20 (eat-in or carry-out), $10 for children 10 and under, and free for those younger than 2. Proceeds support the church and community outreach programs. •The Chesapeake Christian Center will hold its Fall Festival from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at 206 Weston Woods Drive in Pasadena. The event features hayrides, games, children's activities and more. Information: 410-255-3168 or ccc-cog.org.

Halloween

A community Halloween Party will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 18-19 and Oct. 25-26 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie.
