Homicide detectives are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man in Northeast Baltimore late Tuesday night.

Baltimore police officers responded to the 1500 block of Upshire Road, in the city's Ednor Gardens-Lakeside neighborhood, about 11:21 p.m., police said. Near the intersection of The Alameda and Loch Raven Boulevard, officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m., police said.
