Glen Burnie man killed in Arundel crash

Man may have suffered medical emergency while driving

September 21, 2013|By Erica L. Green, The Baltimore Sun

A Glen Burnie man who police believe suffered a medical emergency while driving was killed after his car crossed lanes and hit a tree in Anne Arundel County, police said.

Police responded to the scene at 8:31 a.m. Saturday, where they found James William Morgan, Jr., 53, in cardiac arrest. An investigation found that Morgan was driving south on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Pasadena when his vehicle crossed the northbound lane, and crashed into the tree.

Police said that "all evidence suggests that [Morgan] may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash that caused his death." Officials said speed does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

No further details were available.
