Arts alliance

Annapolis Opera

Volunteers, 16 and older are needed to help with publicity, school outreach, ad sales, performance support, bookkeeping, computer work, receptions, support for the vocal competition and auditions and more. Information: 410-267-8135 or http://www.annapolisopera.org.

Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire

Company seeks volunteers, 16 and older, to serve as firefighters and emergency medical technicians, to help with fundraising, event planning, safety education, facilities supervision, website design and maintenance, clerical support, strategic planning, public relations and marketing, grant writing and administration. Lilly Pond Foal Rescue

Volunteers are needed to complete special projects as well as general barn work at the Dunkirk location. Volunteers may offer a few hours for a day or sign up for a spot on the weekly/monthly schedule. Maryland Hall

Volunteers are needed for ushering, assisting at special events, and occasional help with visual arts. Orientations will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 19 and 24 at 801 Chase St. in Annapolis. Moveable Feast

Moveable Feast, a nonprofit organization, provides home-delivered meals for clients with HIV/AIDS. Volunteers, who can be as young as 16 (15 or younger with an adult), are needed to deliver meals between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Meal delivery takes about an hour. Scheduling is flexible. Volunteers are asked to deliver once a week or once a month. Craft beer and music

Volunteers are needed for the Annapolis Craft Beer and Music Festival, being held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Navy-Marine Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Each volunteer will receive an admission ticket, free on-site parking, a souvenir wine or beer glass, bottled water and a special gift. Kunta Kinte Heritage
