Asbury Town Neck United Methodist

•The church will host a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at 429 Asbury Drive in Severna Park. Furniture, tools, clothing, shoes, toys, household items and more will be on sale. The event benefits the Asbury Church Assistance Network, a ministry that provides urgent assistance to  members of the community for food, utilities, rent, etc. Tax deductible monetary donations will also be accepted.

•The women's anniversary celebration will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. The Rev. Andrea King will be guest preacher. The theme is "Living the Heart of God." All are invited. Information: 410-647-3461 or go to

'Welcome Sunday'

Sept. 8 is the is the official start of the program year at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road, Crownsville. There will be an open house from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Christian education enrollment for all ages. Classes for pre-K through high school will be held. All are welcome. Fall Festival

The Women's Ministry of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Glen Burnie will host its Fall Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7606 Quarterfield Road.
