Lanes have reopened

An accident with injury in Howard County on Interstate 95 South prior to the MD 100 exit has closed three of four southbound traffic lanes and one of two southbound shoulders at 8:52 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.

In another traffic accident, one lane remains closed from an early morning collision involving three vehicles on northbound Interstate 95 in Baltimore County. The wreck that occurred at 3:24 a.m. temporarily closed all northbound lanes and one southbound lane as emergency crews responded, said the State Highway Administration.

The accident occurred near the highway’s Interstate 695 overpass. At about 6:15 a.m., three of the highway’s four northbound traffic lanes opened, and traffic backed up to the Howard County line, the SHA said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported minor MARC train delays at 9:13 a.m.
