'Paint It'

An exhibition featuring artwork by 25 juried artists during the recent plein-air painting event in Ellicott City will be on view through Friday, Aug. 23, in Gallery I at the Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road. For hours and information, call 410-313-2787.

These events take place at the Ellicott City Senior Center, 9401 Frederick Road, 410-313-1421:

Piano lessons Diane Waslick teaches a half-hour session Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $30.

Blood pressure screenings Stop in from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays for free blood pressure readings by a registered nurse. Information: 410-313-1425.

Oldies music Larry and Jim from Olde Golde music share an hour of oldies but goodies beginning at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. Free.

Brain Fitness Instructor Robin Zahor leads a class on how to keep the mind sharp and keep the brain in top form at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22. Free.

Ask the Pharmacist Don Hamilton will provide updates and information concerning your medications at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26. Bring questions, drug lists or prescription containers to discuss medication concerns. Free.

Monthly Bingo will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. Cost is $4.
