Where to donate school supplies

Items needed: Backpacks, lunch boxes, pencils, pens, spiral notebooks, composition books, 3-ring binders, loose leaf paper, scissors, glue, colored pencils, crayons and markers; all age groups, especially middle and high school. Donations accepted through Sept. 15.

Liberty Tax, Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 30, 8851 Gorman Road, 301-483-8626.

Items needed: School supplies for students at Laurel Woods, Bollman Bridge, Maryland City and Brock Bridge elementary schools.

Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, 301-725-5300.

Items needed: Basic school supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, crayons, scissors, which will be used to fill school bags and distributed at the Back to School Summer Jam on Aug. 24.

Laurel Board of Trade, 342 Main St., Suite 2, 301-483-0838.

Items needed: Basic school supplies; checks made payable to city of Laurel. Donations will be given to the city of Laurel for the Aug. 24 giveaway (see above).
