Laurel man charged in commercial robbery [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Howard County Times includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.


Junction Drive, 9000 block, 11:08 p.m. Aug. 2. Over extended period, Petersen's Aluminum Corp. management noticed discrepancy in on-hand inventory and monetary intake. Private investigator conducted surveillance to business. Findings of investigator presented to Howard County police, who organized surveillance detail of business. Surveillance revealed suspect removing scrap property. Ronnie Fogle, 44, of Laurel, charged with two counts of fourth-degree burglary, and one count of second-degree burglary and theft.

Savage/North Laurel

Ruth Avenue, 5 p.m. Aug. 4 and 3:47 p.m. Aug 5. Front door removed from residence and interior vandalized. Numerous holes punched in drywall. Counter, sink pushed over. Toilet and sink in bathroom torn down and knocked over.

Covered Wagon, 9700 block, between 1:50 p.m. and 2:04 p.m. Aug. 4. Entry gained to residence by unknown means. Silver Apple desktop computer stolen from dining room table. Victim left residence for 14 minutes. Both front windows and front door locked. Victim found windows unlocked and front door locked.

Kendall Road, 9300 block, between July 27 and July 28. Entry gained to unsecured garage. Bicycle, golf clubs and bicycle shoes stolen. Tool kit moved from shelf but not taken.

Harding Road, 10800 block, between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. July 10. Screen porch entered with no force. Binoculars taken.
