Slayton House Conservatory presents the Tony Award-winning play about a young man trying to find his place in the world Aug. 1-3 at 10400 Cross Fox Lane. English conversation The Howard County Library, 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway, offers Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club, an opportunity to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting, for those who speak English as a second language. Chair yoga The East Columbia 50+ Center at the East Columbia branch of the Howard County Library, 6600 Cradlerock Way, offers chair yoga, an introduction to yoga aimed at easing the pain of arthritis, reducing fatigue and improving circulation and breathing, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Creative writing Shana Johnson leads beginner and advanced classes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 16. Cost is $106.

Medicare Get updated on important Medicare topics, including changes in how you obtain and pay for medical equipment and diabetic testing supplies and staying current with preventive services, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 24. Refreshments will be served.

Boys basketball camp

Chapelgate Christian Academy will hold a boys basketball camp for grades six through 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 29-Aug. 2, at Columbia Presbyterian Church, 10001 Route 108. Singles social group
