The Baltimore Fire Department identified a woman killed in an apartment fire on Sunday, the city's 11th fire-related death this year.

Rhonda Haigler, 59, died of smoke inhalation after the fire in the five-story building at 1820 Spence St. in Southwest Baltimore, fire spokesman Ian Brennan said on Wednesday. He said the fire started in her second-floor apartment with a cigarette.

Dozens were evacuated in the smoky Sunday afternoon fire and two other people suffered injuries that were not expected to be life threatening.

The day after that fire, the bodies of two men were found in the burned-out basement of a Mount Vernon food market in a case that Baltimore homicide detectives are investigating. So far, 13 people have been killed in fires in Baltimore in 2013, compared with 12 in all of last year.
