Baltimore man charged in murder of girlfriend

Police say Samad Pittman, 29, shot his girlfriend in her home

Police charged a Baltimore man in connection with the murder of his girlfriend after they got into an argument at her home Friday.

At around 3 p.m. officers found Lakeisha Vannison at home in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue unconcious and suffering a gunshot wound to her torso police said. She was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma where she died from her injuries.

Police arrested Vannison's boyfriend Samad Pittman, 29, and said that he had been involved in an argument with Vannison before he shot her. He is charged with first degree murder as well as gun offenses.
