July 05, 2013|By Tricia Bishop, The Baltimore Sun

A 22-year-old Randallstown woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday for the attempted murder of a teenager who was misidentified as having led a $200 marijuana scam, according to the Howard County state's attorney's office.

Chiquita Sketers, of the 3400 block of Carriage Hill Circle, provided the rifle that was used to shoot 15-year-old Sterling Randolph Watts in the back of the head, after he was kidnapped while walking to his friend's home in Reisterstown.

Two people charged in the kidnapping, Laura Christian Karr and Donald George Peoples, are set to stand trial later this month.
