More rain and thunderstorm chances are forecast in the Baltimore area Tuesday, with highs in the lower 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

A flash flood watch remains in effect throughout the Baltimore region until Tuesday evening. Localized rainfall of 2-3 inches is possible.

High humidity is expected, with dew points in the lower 70s, only a few degrees below the air temperature at times. That is a recipe for soupy, muggy air.

The wet weather pattern is expected to continue into Wednesday, with more storm chances, humidity and highs in the upper 80s.

Precipitation chances are expected to diminish for the Fourth of July holiday and on Friday, though chances are still present for storms with highs in the upper 80s.
