Freedom Federal hosts Youth Month celebration

Hundreds of kids of all ages turned out in April to take advantage of Freedom Federal Credit Union's Youth Month celebration. Every April marks Youth Month at Freedom, where financial management and education are highlighted to children and young adults under the age of 25.

Freedom offered new youth club account members the option to earn up to $25 through a matching deposit. Freedom also stressed the importance of saving by entering youth club members, who made qualifying deposits throughout April, for a chance to win a new XBOX gaming system.

Youth Month was capped off with a Youth Day at Freedom's Park Avenue branch in Bel Air, which featured a face painter and balloon twister, support from the Harford County Sheriff's Office Community Outreach program and the chance for youth club members to grab money in the cash cube wind machine.

Nearly 90 new youth club members joined the credit union during the April promotion, taking positive steps to begin developing their financial future. Winners of the various contests and prizes can be viewed online at
