Highs around 90 forecast Monday to start hot week

Hot, humid weather is forecast in the Baltimore area this week, starting with highs around 90 on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight lows were forecast to stay in the mid-70s.

Moist air was expected throughout the day, with dew points in the upper 60s and a chance for afternoon thunderstorms.

Tuesday,  Wednesday and Thursday could bring even more heat and humidity. Highs are forecast in the mid-90s with heat index values nearing 100 degrees, with dew points around 70 degrees.

Friday could bring slight relief with highs forecast in the upper 80s.
