Dinner and health fair

Baltimore First Seventh-Day Adventist Church will hold a free community spaghetti dinner and health fair beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at 3291 St. Johns Lane. In addition to dinner, the event features blood pressure checks and children's activities. Information: 410-465-6864.

Soccer registration

The coed Elkridge Youth Organization fall soccer program is accepting registrations for ages 4-18. No tryouts are required, and all players receive substantial playing time. Blood pressure screenings Stop in from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at the Ellicott City Senior Center, 9401 Frederick Road, for free blood pressure readings by a registered nurse. Information: 410-313-1425.

English conversation The Miller branch of the Howard County Public Library, 9421 Frederick Road, offers "Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club," a chance for those for whom English is a second language to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting. The club meets at 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays. Register with the library before your first meeting. Information: 410-313-1950.

'Downsizing Made Easy' Victoria Hathaway presents specialty services to address the challenges associated with a senior move at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16. Topics include downsizing, searching for your senior living community and managing the move.

Medicare Get updated on important Medicare topics, including durable medical equipment and diabetic supplies, preventive services, fraud protection and benefit programs at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18.

Diabetes awareness Craig Weinsweig of the Ellicott City Pharmacy will present the latest diabetes information, along with tips on managing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 18.

Monthly Bingo will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. Cost is $4.
