A suspect in an East Baltimore shooting Sunday morning surrendered after being shot at by an officer on the scene, Baltimore City police reported.

Police responding to a domestic-related call in the 1700 block of Montpelier Street just before 10 a.m. found an armed man and saw him shoot another man, police reported. A patrol officer on the scene fired a shot at the suspect, police said, but did not hit him.

The suspect surrendered without further incident, police said.

The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital, police said, where he was being treated for his injuries Sunday afternoon.
