High tuition cost is the real issue, not student loan interest

June 09, 2013

The parties should get together and negotiate their differences on the interest rate on student loans ("Keeping college affordable," June 5). But the real problem is the high cost of tuition (like the cost of health care).

The cost of a college education has grown much more than other expenses (like gas). Nobody in power wants to address the real issues.

Too bad for us.
