Traffic in both directions on Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore County has been closed on Monday morning due to a felled tree in the roadway that also brought down power lines, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The closure was posted by DOT at 10:08 a.m. Officials said a tree fell in the roadway and downed some power lines on Park Heights Avenue between Velvet Ridge Drive and Greenspring Valley Road. DOT officials said that DOT and BGE repair crews are on the scene, and they have yet to receive word on whether the wires are live.

In other traffic incidents, a four-vehicle collision in Baltimore County on the outer loop of Interstate 695 at I-70 has closed one of three outer loop lanes and one of two outer loop shoulders at 9:47 a.m., DOT said.
