June 01, 2013|By Ian Duncan, The Baltimore Sun

A sticky weekend is on the cards across the region with no let up in the heat until after a round of thunderstorms beginning Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service forecasts.

Saturday's high in Baltimore is forecast to be 89 degrees, and Sunday is expected to be even hotter with temperatures topping out at 91 degrees. It will be a little cooler outside the city, with highs of 86 and 84 degrees forecast for Annapolis.

The weather service is forecasting a chance of thunderstorms beginning some time after 2pm on Sunday and carrying on through the evening and into Monday morning.

After that, the heat is forecast to come down to a more reasonable 76 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
