Man stabbed in East Baltimore on Saturday night

A man was seriously injured when he was stabbed in the chest in East Baltimore on Saturday night, police said.

The man, about whom police have not released any other information, was stabbed in the 2000 block of Cliftwood Avenue in the South Clifton Park neighborhood shortly before 10 p.m., police said.

Police said the man's condition was stable at a hospital Sunday afternoon but did not immediately have more specific information about his status. District detectives were investigating a motive for the attack and a suspect, police said.

No more information was immediately available.
