Classical concerts

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra concludes its season at 8 p.m. May 10-11 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase St. in Annapolis. "Community Observing Night," sponsored by the AACC Astronomy Club, begins at 7 p.m. May 11. Bring your own telescope and binoculars or use one of the eight telescopes provided by the club to view planets, stars and the moon. Mother's Day

The Bowie Baysox will host a Mother's Day brunch May 12 at Prince George's Stadium as they take on the Erie SeaWolves. Game time is 2:05 p.m. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., fans can go onto the outfield to play catch. Brunch will be held beginning at 1:15 p.m. Tickets $39; $34 for ticket plan holders; $10 for children ages 3-5; free for children 2 and younger, and must be ordered by 3 p.m. May 8. 'Golfing for Charity'

The Rotary Club of Annapolis, Annapolis Lions Club, Annapolis Optimists Club and Annapolis Masonic Lodge No. 89 host this annual event on May 15 at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Crownsville. Registration is at 7:30 a.m., with announcements at 8:15 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The $100 per golfer fee includes golf, cart, continental breakfast, unlimited beverages and snacks on the course, an Italian lunch, and an additional free round of golf (four players, with three paying and one free).

St. James Parish will hold its annual crab cake and country ham spring dinner from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 18 at 5757 Solomons Island Road in Lothian. Menu includes crab cakes, country and honey-baked ham, potatoes au gratin, coleslaw, rolls and biscuits, beverages and pies. Event includes a bake shop, garden shop, ice cream, flea market, antique cars, tours of the church and children's activities. Bus trip to Ford's Theatre

The Ann Arrundell County Historical Society is sponsoring a bus trip to Ford's Theatre, with its new Center for Education and Leadership and the Congressional Cemetery Civil War Tour, on May 18. Lunch is planned at the District Chophouse & Brewery. Bus leaves at 8 a.m from the Benson-Hammond House, 7101 Aviation Blvd. in Linthicum, and returns at 4 p.m. Cost is $60, including lunch. Boat cruise

The Captain Salem Avery Museum sponsors a cruise on the Choptank River on June 19 aboard a working replica of an authentic paddle-wheel riverboat, followed by a crab feast. Crab feast

The Rotary Club of Annapolis will hold its 68th annual crab feast from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 2 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Tickets are $60, $20 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for children younger than 3. Buy tickets at or call 877-333-9667 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
