A bargain meal! The Boy Scout Troop 967 will prepare its spaghetti dinner and bake sale for April 13 (Saturday), 4-7 p.m. at the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, Congress and Union Avenue, adults $7, seniors $6, children $4. Eat in or carryout.

Take a guided historical walking tour every Saturday through October, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or schedule a tour by appointment. Enjoy a 1-1/2 hour walking tour through tree-lined streets. On a wet note ... if some of the drizzle of April showers has you thinking of Noah's Ark or floods in titanic proportions, remember April 14 and 15 (1912) commemorates the 101st anniversary of the sinking of the HMS Titanic. Perhaps a breezy walk along the Havre de Grace Promenade, one day this week, will put things in a better perspective.

The Ellsworth B. Shank Lecture series will present Mike Dixon and Heidi Glatfelter at Havre de Grace City Hall, 711 Pennington Avenue, April 18 at 7 p.m. discussing "Researching and writing about the War of 1812."
