Eddie's on North Charles turns 20 on Saturday

The North Charles Street location of Eddie's of Roland Park is turning 20.

The store will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, April 13, with a "Shop Local" community party featuring tastings of Maryland food purveyors and meet-and-greets with local food vendors like Zeke's Coffee, Roma Sausage, A. Kirchmayr Chocolates, Prigel Family Creamery and Hawks Hill Creamery.

Eddie’s has two locations, the original Roland Park store and the second location on North Charles Street. Victor Cohen opened the first Eddie's of Roland Park location in 1944. Yes, it's confusing. The Eddie's markets in Charles Village and Mount Vernon are not related.

"We have been fortunate to be part of the north Charles Street community for the past twenty years and this celebration is our way of saying thank you to customers – old and new," said Nancy Cohen, Victor Cohen's daughter, and president of Eddie’s of Roland Park.

Eddie's 20th Anniversary Party is 11 a.m to 5 p.m. April 13 at Eddie's of Roland Park, 6213 N. Charles St. Call 410-377-8040 or go to eddiesofrolandpark.com.
