No. 2 South River rolls, 19-3, in baseball; No. 1 Boys' Latin beats No. 10 S. River in lax

The No. 8 C. Milton Wright softball team was coming off a loss to unranked Broadneck. Jenny Lynch (3-for-3) got the Mustangs started with a solo homer in the second inning as they beat No. 7 Chesapeake-AA, 8-4, Tuesday.

C. Milton Wright fell, 11-1, to the Bruins on Monday.

Emily Kirby hit a leadoff double to start a three-run first inning for the Cougars (2-3). Hunter Royston had an RBI single, and a fielding error allowed two more runs to score.

The Mustangs (4-1) would hold Chesapeake scoreless for the next five innings and surrender only a single run in the top of the seventh. In the fourth inning, Lindsay Ibberson drove in Holli Rutkowski to cut the Chesapeake-AA lead to 3-2.

C. Milton Wright scored six runs in the fifth inning off seven hits to win.


No. 2 South River 19, Great Mills 3: Winner Austin Wright worked three innings and struck out three, and Kyle Canavan (2-for-3) had a double and a stolen base for the host Seahawks (4-0).

Boys lacrosse

No. 1 Boys' Latin 13 No. 10 South River 5: Colin Heacock had five points (three goals, two assists) to power the visiting Lakers (6-0) past the Seahawks (2-2).

Boys' Latin led 4-1 after the first quarter and 7-1 at the half.

No. 6 Gilman 14, Landon 6: Max Greene scored three goals and the visiting Greyhounds (4-2) rebounded from Wednesday's loss to Hereford.

The Bulls won, 7-6, on March 27.

Malvern Prep (Pa.) 9, No. 8 St.Mary's 8: The host Friars (5-0) beat their second Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference opponent.

Malvern Prep beat Loyola, 11-6, on March16.

Jamie Lilly and Grant Schneider each scored twice for the Saints (3-3).

Girls lacrosse

No. 1 McDonogh 18, Garrison Forest 2: Elizabeth George scored four goals to lead the host Eagles (6-0, 3-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland AConference) past the Grizzlies (3-3, 0-3).

No. 2 Bryn Mawr 12, Mount de Sales 7: Kate Snouffer had three goals and an assist to lead the visiting Mawrtians (4-2, 3-1 MIAA A Conference) past the Sailors (2-3, 1-2).

Bryn Mawr led 7-3 at halftime.

No. 4 Century 14, Liberty 2: Morgan Marrale scored a game-high six goals to lead the visiting Knights (4-1) past the Lions (1-2).

Century led 6-0 at halftime.

No. 5 Maryvale 13, North Harford 12: Miranda Ibello scored five goals and the host Lions (4-1) rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit.

Maryvale outscored the Hawks (3-1) in the second half 7-4.

No. 15 Notre Dame Prep 14, Roland Park 12: Liz Haus scored five goals to lead the host Blazers (3-5, 3-1 IAAM A Conference) past the Reds (2-3, 1-2).

Indian Creek 14, Baltimore Lutheran 0: Margot White had five points (three goals, two assists) for the visiting Eagles.
