Anne Arundel County fire officials say four adults from Arnold are being assisted by the Red Cross after an overnight residential fire displaced them.

Fire officials say crews responded to the one-story house fire at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Phillips Road in Arnold.

Responders brought the one-alarm fire under control in less than 30 minutes, officials said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but officials said they believe it was electrical in nature. The fire caused approximately $25,000 in damage to the home.

Smoke detectors in the home were not operating, according to fire officials. There were no injuries.
