Figure skating The Gardens Figure Skating Club presents its ninth annual spring ice show, "Mary Poppins," at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Gardens Ice House, 13800 Old Gunpowder Road in Laurel. Financial fair The seventh annual Money Matters Fair will be held at 10 a.m. April 6 at Howard County Library's East Columbia branch, 6600 Cradlerock Way. Free event features activities to learn ways to stretch money, and includes resources for personal finance, information for those struggling to pay monthly bills, financial aid for college, college savings plans, reverse mortgage counseling, and more. Classical concert Candlelight Concerts presents the Hermitage Piano Trio at 8 p.m. April 6 in Howard Community College's Horowitz Performing Arts Center, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia. Remembrance service The Holocaust Remembrance Committee of the Jewish Federation of Howard County and the Howard County Board of Rabbis will host a service at 6 p.m. April 7 at Beth Shalom Congregation, 8070 Harriet Tubman Lane in Columbia. Service include interactive sessions and a keynote address by Gustav Goldberger in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Danish rescue of more than 7,000 Jewish men, women and children. Workshop Silhouette Stages will host a musical theater audition workshop from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane. Musical director Micheal Tan will instruct on auditioning, creating and updating an audition book, and finding new music, and also conduct a master class where some participants will get an opportunity to perform an audition song.  Everyone will receive a handout that includes the topics covered in the workshop and additional resources. Those signing up for the workshop should bring prepared musical selections to perform, both up-tempo and ballad, with sheet music in the correct key. Workshop is for performers 14 and older and limited to 20 participants.
